2017 Mid-South Show

2017 marks the 50th Anniversary of the Mid-South Military History and Civil War Show. We are one of the oldest and most respected shows in the country. Approximately 200 exhibits/sales tables are expected this year, with visitors from over 15 states attending the event. Attendees will be educated with many large exhibits by proud collectors and dealers willingly describing each item and ready to answer questions. The Mid South Show offers a wide variety of quality collectibles including uniforms, assorted weapons, books, documents stamps, collector prints, and other antique military items including the Civil War to present day. Items will not only be on exhibit but available to buy, sell or trade.

Several vehicles from World War 2 will be on display at the 2017 Show. The Mid-South Chapter of the Military Vehicle Preservation Association and the West Tennessee Military Vehicle Collectors Club will provide these 75-yr-old combat vehicles of the “Greatest Generation”. They represent some of the weapons and equipment of WW2 units such as the 701st Tank Destroyer Unit, a very active group during WW2 and on into the Korean Conflict. This display, and all others in the show, will be open to all visitors as part of the show admission. Bankhead’s Battery will have several Civil War cannons on display with cannon fire throughout the day.

Most branches of the military and historical and genealogy groups will have representative at this year’s show. 2017 is a historical year for the United States. This year commemorates the 155th year of the Civil War, the 75th year of World War II and the 50th year of the Mid South Military History & Civil War Show. Please come out to help us commemorate these historic events, pay tribute to the men and women who serve and have fallen for our freedom and learn about the history of our great country.

The Mid-South Military History & Civil War Show is sponsored annually by a historical tax-exempt/non-profit organization with proceeds to be used to help fund History Scholarships at local colleges.
